Operation theatre type Laminar Flow Unites are used to supply laminar flow over the operating table and its perimeter. Laminar Flow Unites prevent operating zone from microbes, bacteria and other living organisms.
Operation theatre type Laminar Flow Units are constructed from stainless steel. For filtration H13 / H14 HEPA filters with aluminum frames are used. A laminisator made of special taut silk fabric is used under the laminar flow unite, to achieve laminar flow. Laminisator is made of two parts with a special design that enables pendant lamp connection in the middle of the unit.
In Laminar flow unites for operation theatre applications, face velocity is taken between 0,2-0,3 m/s. Larger velocities from 0,3 m/s cause draught affect on people under the unite, on the other hand velocities smaller than 0,2 m/s cause deformations in laminar flow.
